THE STAYWORLDS AREA GUIDE

Where to base yourself

Choose a base around your daily routes. Two hotels described as central can lead to very different journeys, so save your main sights on a map before deciding.

Shinjuku

Useful for a transport-led stay and lively evenings. Check which station exit serves the hotel, because large stations can add walking time.

Asakusa

Consider this area for a neighbourhood-focused visit and traditional streetscapes. Check connections to your planned day trips.

Ginza and Tokyo Station

An option for shopping and rail connections. Compare the actual walking route with luggage, not only the map distance.

Before choosing your room

Check the bed dimensions, floor area and baggage space. Confirm whether breakfast is included for every guest and whether smoking and non-smoking rooms are separate.

Make a useful hotel shortlist

Compare the same travel dates and guest details across your shortlisted properties. Read recent room-specific feedback, inspect the total price and save the cancellation terms before paying. A destination guide cannot confirm the condition or availability of an individual hotel.

Our area descriptions are general planning guidance, not hotel inspections or endorsements. Confirm current transport, local conditions and property facilities before travelling.
